Since founding her firm 15 years ago, Cheryl Duncan’s made #BlackStoriesMatter her mantra. The resonance of that work keeps growing stronger.

Duncan, a go-to PR pro for Black cultural and nonprofit clients, kept her clients, including NYC ‘s African Film Festival, WORLD Channel, Black Public Media, and the Franciscan Handmaids of the Most Pure Heart of Mary, a.k.a. the Black nuns of Harlem, front and center this year. She teamed up with theater PR guru Matt Polk to promote Ntozake Shange’s classic For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide / When the Rainbow’s Enuf, set to return to Broadway whenever Broadway returns.
